What is the SAEE?
The Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency’s aim for the past 10 years is to create an awareness of energy efficiency for all industries in the Southern African Region. The SAEE has been involved with the Energy Training Foundation who are responsible for ensuring that we have locally trained but internationally certified energy managers.

The National Energy Strategy identifies targets. The targets for mining and industry is the reduction of total energy demand by 15% in the year 2015. There is a target for South Africa as a country of 12% by 2015.
